Taekwondo Woman

Jade Jones
“I kick people in the head for a living..and i love it!!” reads Jade Jones’ Twitter bio. Not only that, but she has quite a knack for it, as proved by her recent back-to-back taekwondo titles.
It’s been a storming start to 2015 for the Welshwoman, nicknamed ‘The Headhunter’ for her aforementioned tendency to try and score points with kicks to her opponent’s head rather than their body.
Success at the European Clubs’ Championship in Antalya was swiftly followed by victory at the WTF Turkish Open four days later, with Croatia's Martina Zubcic and home favourite Durdane Altunel both falling foul of the 21-year-old from Flint in under-57kg finals.
Those wins made it three titles on the spin for Jones after she secured her first World Grand Prix title in Mexico in December, ending a year-long hoodoo against Spain’s world number one Eva Calvo Gomez in the final.
Returning to the ring in Turkey for the first time since that milestone, Jones soon banished her jitters.
"The first couple of rounds I was really nervous, probably because I haven't really fought for a while," said Jones, Britain's first ever Olympic taekwondo champion at London 2012. "Sometimes, it is hard to get up for the smaller competitions.
"But then I got into it and started buzzing. I was losing in the first round of the final but stayed calm and managed to bring it back.”
